I’m overwhelmed with all the love, support, messages and comments over the last twenty four hours, and since it may be a few days before i can give some of you proper responses, this brief thank you may have to suffice.
Maybe it’s the hormones, but I really am feeling the love of Tumblr today. I love being a part of your lives, even though I’ve only met a handful of you in real life. I’m so lucky that I get to read your stories, and thank you for reading mine.
Dylan and I are doing great. I’m pretty ambulatory, and she’s passing her newborn tests with flying colors. I’m back on solid foods and she’s enjoying lots of locally grown, artisanal colostrum.
Anyhoo, thank you again for all your virtual love and support, it means the world to me.

Howdy! Bageldreams here. Caitlin asked me to guest post while she cuddles on baby girl and gets intoxicated by her sweet smell and smiles and coos. She is the luckiest of all the ladies in my book right now.
Funny story – when the gender was announced on IG, C said “Heyyyyy Gurrrrrrl” as the photo comment and then immediately told me not to cry. I may have cried anyway, but they were tears of joy because I was so super duper happy for my friend who I knew wanted a girl so bad, she just couldn’t admit it to herself.
I don’t think it’s a secret around here that my baby girl fever is through the roof, off the charts, and out of control. For example, my ovaries scream at all the adorable girl clothes and shoes and then to see them on an actual baby girl…oh lordy. So, I thought I’d torture myself for a bit today…and in keeping with what I do best (online shopping), I’m going to show you all the things I want to buy for C’s baby girl. All items found via Etsy except for the Blabla doll.
(Some or all of these may or may not reside in my own etsy cart, for my maybe one day too. Sssshhhh.)
Crib Sheet – love all these colors for a nursery. Plus, the Iviebaby shop can customize anything, for example coordinating boppy cover, bumper, quilt, changing pad cover, curtains, etc…I mean, if you’re into that kind of thing.
BlaBla Apple Doll – I mean, look at that doll! She may not even like dolls, but it will look damn cute in that nursery I am designing for her in my head. ;)
It was painful keeping this list to 9 things because I also think she (we – haha) needs more stuff! Monthly onesie stickers anyone? And look at this dino print! And these freaking precious shoes that Bianca makes that I so wish came in my size…to be fair, I couldn’t pick just one pair…how do you like them apples too?
OK, enough for today.
Caitlin, congrats to you and your practically perfect in every way family! I am over the moon excited for you and I expect a constant picture flood on all social media (including LinkedIn ;)) so I can live vicariously through you. Have fun mama…hope you enjoy every second of it.
